BMW X3 will be available in two new engines

From next autumn, the BMW X3 will be available in two new engines, the xDrive20i and xDrive35d. So even more choices for the competitor of Audi Q5 and Mercedes GLK.


The BMW X3 expands its range already comes with two new engines, a 2.0 turbo petrol and a diesel twin-turbo 3.0.

The compact SUV will have entry as the 4-cylinder 2.0 Turbo Twin Power developing 184 hp and 270 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed manual transmission or an automatic 8-speed (optional).

The X3 xDrive20i will always be with serial Start & Stop and twin-scroll technology and Valvetronic.


As for the xDrive35d, there is a 6-cylinder in-line twin-turbo 3.0 developing 313 bhp and 630 Nm of torque. This will be coupled only to the 8-speed automatic transmission.

With the arrival of two new blocks, the BMW X3 will be available with six engines and almost as many finishes to choose from.
